I've been playing Go since 2006. Like many, my interest began with Hikaru No Go. What started as reading in my school's library quickly evolved into a lifelong obsession with the game. There is a distinct magic to a game that is simple enough to learn in minutes, yet deep enough that you can spend an entire lifetime chasing.

In the early days, I spent countless hours playing on servers until the sun went down. I found myself thinking about the game while eating breakfast, getting ready for school, and sometimes standing on the school playground.

Over time, that obsession brought me to getting involved in the community to teach others how to grow stronger, which ultimately led to my decision to become a Go teacher. The Go community has such a vast, vibrant character that it's impossible not to fall in love with it. I cherish every student who comes my way. Hearing how they discovered the game, understanding their goals, and seeing how the game has impacted their lives fuels my own desire to improve—both as a player and as a member of the community.

I built the Stomping Grounds to serve as my portfolio. It is a single home designed to bring together everything I do. My Go lessons, art, and writing. Whether you are an absolute beginner just starting out, or a seasoned dan player looking for a fresh perspective, you are welcome here!
